Explain in the audience’s language
Bangla titles and visual explanations made a global story accessible to Bangla-speaking audiences.
Let's talk Roar Bangla / 2020–2021
I led a Bangla-language COVID-19 awareness initiative through video and live coverage.
Jakaria Hasan · Head of Digital, Roar Bangla

The brief & my role
I led Roar Bangla’s COVID-19 awareness initiative with three in-house video editors. We explained precautions, research and international developments in Bangla.
As Head of Digital, I set the topic plan, drafted content, coordinated production and designed video thumbnails.
Editorial direction. Topic planning and content drafting.
Production coordination. Direction and coordination with three editors.
Visual communication. Video thumbnails and publishing presentation.
Editorial direction
Bangla titles and visual explanations made a global story accessible to Bangla-speaking audiences.
Early coverage addressed handwashing, distancing, quarantine, older people and office precautions. Later work followed vaccines, variants and treatment research.
Content drafting drew on research from trustworthy sources, translating complex information into understandable Bangla.
I designed thumbnails and coordinated production with the editors, keeping a consistent Roar Bangla identity across topics.
